Causeless Or Caused? (2)

Concluding part………

3. YOUR SPIRITUAL PARENT: “You must not dishonor God or curse any of your rulers. Ex22v28. God has placed your spiritual fathers and mothers in place to guide and lead you. They are God’s representatives in your life. Under no circumstance must you speak ill of them.

Check out this story-

Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, a group of boys from the town began mocking and making fun of him. “Go away, baldy!” they chanted. “Go away, baldy!” Elisha turned around and looked at them, and he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of them (2Kings 2v23-24);

Gehazi got himself and his generations after him cursed because of his greed, dishonesty and lying. He sold out his future and that of his children yet unborn for ‘a morsel of bread’ (material things).

It is very easy to fall into the temptation of speaking against these anointed ones especially when it seems to you that they do not ‘deserve’ to be in the position they are in or that you could have fit better in the position. Always remember, God placed them there. He decides whom to choose.

I am sure you will prefer this part: If anyone decides to curse you without curse, the person has simply bought a lion for himself. Of course, the lion will devour him. Let them curse you if they want. The Lord will turn it around to blessing for you. They will fall into the pit they have dug for you. When Shimei was cursing David, he had the right attitude. He believed God was a just God. He would turn the curses around to blessing.

Ps 109v19,20,28:

Now may his curses return and cling to him like clothing; may they be tied around him like a belt.”

May those curses become the LORD’s punishment for my accusers who speak evil of me.

Then let them curse me if they like,

but you will bless me! When they attack me, they will be disgraced! But I, your servant, will go right on rejoicing!

In conclusion, “Look, today I am giving you the choice between a blessing and a curse! (Deut 11v26) The ball is in your court. God cannot be mocked; what a man sows he will reap. The choice is yours to make. Choose wisely!
