Godly Living In A Godless World

Godly living

The message for the Church of Pergamos was a peculiar one. God said He was aware of how evil their community was. He knew they were prone to peer pressure/influence. Their society was godless. The norms of the society were all devil inspired. They were martryed.

Yet, in all of this unbearable experiences and horrible conditions, they clung onto God. They held on tightly to the Rock of their Salvation!

The fault: there was a crack in the wall. Some of them had broken the edge. They compromised their faith. One leg in, one leg out. They wanted to feel among. They probably said to themselves, “a little of what they are practising out there shouldn’t hurt. They plunged into the pit of corruption.

All they would draw up will be destruction. For only the days of ignorance the Lord overlooks. They had known the truth and yet decided to mix it up with a little rotteness. They had walked out of the confines of grace into the world.

Does this sound familiar? What are those things that you have embraced and are actually not the customs of the Kingdom which we belong?

God says to repent or else He will come to fight against such. Who dares wait for a fight against God. That fellow is finished before the commencement of the battle. God is encouraging us to repent from all ungodly cultures.

He knows that your colleagues, family members, parents, or neighbours are godless. But He has given us ALL we need for Life and Godliness -in a Godless world! He’s made His Words, brethren,…available for us, to encourage us to keep keeping on.

Even under unfavourable conditions. God’s standard can not be changed.

His grace is sufficient for us!
