Some Christians think they are still doing well but before God they and their works are far from being okay. They only have a form of godliness. This is the state the Church in Sardis was in (Revelation 3:1-6). They thought they were alive but in actual fact, they were dead.
Take your life to the hospital of the Kingdom for a proper checkup. The checkup has to be a regular one for that matter. You need to know if you are still in faith- by God’s standards.
God’s calling is without repentance. Prophesy to the dry bones!
Fan to flames the coals on your altar.
Hear this:
That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination]. (2Tim1v6)
Then Elijah said to all the people, Come near to me. And all the people came near him. And he repaired the [old] altar of the Lord that had been broken down [by Jezebel]. (1Kings 18v30)
Like Elijah did, we are admonished to repair the altars of our lives that have been broken down by sin, neglect, complacency, etc.
Never allow the devil deceive you into thinking that once you have a form of ‘death’ you can’t rise again.
Rise up and tell him to his face that:
” THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.” (Rom 8v1,2)
” For there is hope for a tree if it is cut down, that it will sprout again and that the tender shoots of it will not cease. [But there is no such hope for man.]” (Job 14v7)
“For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again,” (Prov 24v16a)
If he tells you you are not righteous, tell him’ “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”. Jesus defeated satan with The Word, do the same!
Amazingly, there were still some LIVING Christians in the Church of Sardis. If you are still alive, Heaven is glad. Do everything possible to ensure you remain alive. And encourage your brethren who are dead. Help strenghten their weak hands.
All will be well by the grace of God!
