Smiles…I promise to make this brief but it’s an experience I don’t want to take likely as one of the usual happenings.
Early on a Friday morning, I woke up and was preparing to set out to work. Only for this amazing wind to start blowing and practically threw the environment in disarray as a bulb close to my room but outside got broken and I had to shut my windows. I was still wondering what will happen alongside the wind and to my amazing surprise around 6:20am the rain started heavily when I was expected to set out latest 6:35, so as to get to work on time.
I was getting unsettled and I said my prayers but the more I said it and even at heart, the rain increased.. Lol. I was meant to ask God why my prayers weren’t answered right..lol. But I just went on with my preparations and while I was still in the bathroom, the word came that “Be fast because the rain will soon stop”. I hastened up and wonderfully, the amazingly heavy rainfall started decreasing and the thought came and was like – And this rain shouldn’t stop.. Lol. And guess my thought had it’s way, it increased (I couldn’t cry. Lol) because I don’t even have an umbrella. Then I got this word – “as soon as you are done, the rain will stop”, Mehn, I gave up thinking too much on it stopping or not. I just continued and you want to know what?… this heavy downpour didn’t only decline but stopped in a minute (this still causes me to have goose bumps). Wow!. Then I rushed out because I was getting very late. And needed to make it down before 7:15am.
So let me pause a while so as to tell you the final testimony because this piece is being typed while on my way to work…. (take a seat with me). 😀😀😀
Okay and the gist is, wait for it…. I made it to work earlier than most of my colleagues I thought would get to work before me (as I met only 3-4 people when I got in). Amazing right!, how that happened considering the usual route which becomes a traffic zone when rain falls which didn’t come to play as at the time I was on my way. I got in 2 minutes past the time expected but earlier than most of my colleagues.
So the moral of this is, even when you tell God your desires and it seems the situation(s) isn’t getting any better. Tell it all to Him and I can assure you. You will see it happen. I have always held on to this for a while now – that which is God’s will, He will answer and that which He doesn’t, He is working it all out for a greater good. Trust me, it is tough at such moment when it’s the latter happening. But just as one experiences a trying or challenging phase and then it ends, and you feel the trying phase was worth it cos you learned and became a better you. So also, the place of our prayers, supplications and requests to God. It might seem it’s not happening as we asked for, but it will definitely work together for your greater good. Trust Him with this!. Trust Him with your life!.
