Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

A lot of individuals especially in our current age and sect, believe purity is only in the confines of preserving or keeping the marriage bed undefiled. Neglecting the place of keeping the entirety of you – Pure, Holy and acceptable unto God. A lot of individuals give room for canoodling, kissing and all sort (just to mention a few) believing since sex is out if it – I have done nothing wrong!. And this is a fallacy of its own. I’m sure a reader is giving me the – “all this wasn’t spelt out in the Bible” look🙄. And yes, maybe literally it wasn’t but ask those who gave room for all these, what happened after they all these was done, – were they able to maintain a clear and calm conscience after these acts or did they fall into the den of guilt, that eventually eats them up, giving them away to the territory of the worst happening – sex. Ooh!, why toil with the flame of a furnace when I know it does hurt as much as the furnace itself. 🤔
Purity isn’t just about keeping sex solely for marriage. But it also entails keeping your heart, body and all your being purged and renewed constantly as a living sacrifice which is a form of worship unto God.

So I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him—an offering that is only for God and pleasing to him. Considering what he has done, it is only right that you should worship him in this way.
Romans 12:1 ERV
Our lives which is made as a place of worship unto God according to our main study text ought to be kept pure – Bodily and in Spirit. Of which this doesn’t end at one just keeping sex out of one’s life as a single or keeping it only in the confines of marriage, for the married folks. Instead, it entails preserving your all unto God, restraining yourself from the verdicts of the world system of what is tagged as Ethics and norms of purity. Simply, mortifying self!.
Also knowing that you have the responsibility of preserving your totality as a symbol of purity, being conscious of the truth that the seal of Purity has been placed over you once you receive Christ. As you do need to be deliberate about upholding this truth regardlessly.
So my dear friends, don’t break that seal. Instead, uphold and guard it jealously. Remembering, it is an act or let me say a lifestyle of Worship unto God. And what better way can one give God one’s all, if not to worship Him with our totality. Excluding not, our physical body; as it is the temple of the most high – God.
Let’s therefore sweep our lives clean and present it faultless and blameless before Him.
Keep that which is meant for the confines of marriage for marriage. Quit crossing the borders. Maintain the Godly sanity and uphold the truth in His word unto us as His Children.
And if you’ve broken the seal at some point, you can start anew and uphold the truth in His Words unto you and I.
Knowing that there’s always room for a new chapter!. And He hasn’t given up on you dear. As the prodigal son did return to His father’s outstretched arms, He is ever ready to welcome us home. 💞
But don’t take this as a licence to get in and out of your vomit. Let the old ways be indeed a thing of your past!. 📝
