I have been through quite a bit in this life to know that there will almost always be dark clouds on the skies of our lives. One moment, all seems perfect and the next, you are faced with unfathomable difficulties.

Merely thinking about the failed system where we have found ourselves can be so depressing if you allow yourself dwell on those thoughts. Because, truth be told, we cannot alienate ourselves completely from the situation; we live in it.

However, there is one thing that I know you have power on… Choosing your reality.

Have you ever wondered how people who seem to have it all together could slip into depression and some even going to the extent of taking their own lives? They have all the money and physical resources beyond what they need. Yet, all of that may not be enough to keep them away from the path of negativity.

This proves to me that you can flip the cards too. No matter how terrible the situation you find yourself, you can decide to stay positive.

Our human minds will always want to stick with the physical realities of lack, insufficiency, weakness, etc.

However, with the help of God, you can be a joyful soul in a gloomy situation. The Lord gives the ability to be joyful.

Joy wells from within the soul and is not affected by what the physical eyes can see. Joy thrives on what the spiritual eyes see – hope.

Joy comes when you are able to detach your mind from your physical environment and plug into the spiritual environment where you see God through His eyes. At this point, you are able to remember the wondrous works He had wrought in the past and visualize what He is capable of doing.

Joy comes from within… Joy is a gift.

Joy doesn’t allow you look like the negative situations you may have been through.

You should desire and seek joy above all else.

I choose joy!
