More Than A Dreamer

I have heard it said on many occasions that the wealthiest place on earth must be the graveyard. I am opined that that postulation must be correct. I agree that the cemetery must be full of so many dreams, visions and aspirations that never saw the light of day and got buried with the dreamers.

I have spoken with many people with very big dreams who have remained at the dreaming phase till today.

It is not enough to dream about greatness.

You must take action towards living a fulfilled life.

You are responsible for how your life turns out.

You are responsible for whether your dreams remain so or turn to realities.

Fulfilment can only be found in the place of action. Only action takers rule their world.

Your dreams can only give you a temporary sense of satisfaction. Once you wake from dreamland and realize that it is yet another dream, the hollow remains on your inside.

I charge you to dream big.

Much more so, work big.

Be more than a dreamer; choose to be a doer.

Remember, faith without works is dead.

Is it one of your dreams to become an author?

I really want to help you turn that dream to a reality so I am inviting you to join a writing course / boot camp that I have designed which will help you move from being a dream author to an author in just a short while with your determination at play.

It’s an online course so your location is not an excuse.

He’s Working. . .

I was watching a certain episode of RESCUE BOTS with the children few days ago and there was a certain scene where the lava from a volcano was flowing towards the control room. At that moment, the youngest member of the team was right inside that room and never knew there was imminent danger. They tried all they could to keep him informed but he was offline. The boy was busy doing some other stuff.

The robots and the rest of the team did all they could to make sure the young chap was safe. He never knew how much work they put in to ensure his safety until they drove into the control room and informed him about what had happened.

As that episode of the cartoon ended, my spirit was ministered to.

I felt reassured of God’s love right at that moment.

God fights so many battles for us; many of which we are not aware of.

He is even busy working things out for us that we didn’t even think we needed.

He is always watching out for His own. The Almighty God loves you so much.

My friend, you can rest assured that God is an amazing Father. He cares for you more than you could ever care for yourself.

Let your heart be at peace.

God is working even now; when it feels like He has forgotten you.

He will never forget you…

You are always on His mind.

Shalom!

Book Excerpts : The Beautiful Branch

You see, no one is left empty. No one has an excuse not to be relevant. We are the servants of the Most High God and He has given each one of us talents to trade with. There is no reason not to be productive because you have been given seeds with which to do whatever you want. It is then your choice whether you would plant the seeds for a greater harvest, or eat the seeds and be left with nothing.

Investing your talents will lead to an exponential increase. Imagine if you were given five seeds of maize. You can decide to pop it and eat (and you can’t even be satisfied) or you can decide to plant the seeds. Imagine the ripple effect that investment will bring about. You will not get the same number of seeds that you planted in the first instance. You will get the seeds back in multiple folds.

It is a foolish person that eats his seeds.

Like it was portrayed in the parable of the talents, I will infer that it is a more foolish person that hides his seed away.

He wouldn’t plant it neither will he eat it. So, of what use exactly is the seed that he is keeping away. Is it supposed to be an ornament for decoration?

There is a great probability that the seeds you hide away for a long time will lose its viability neither would it be good for food because it becomes stale. That way, you will be running at a loss. Maybe it would have been okay that you just ate the seed. Wisdom is profitable to direct. Utilizing the talents that God has given you is wisdom. Hiding the talents God has given you is foolishness.

This is a wake-up call for everyone who has been allowing her talents to lie dormant. Wake up from your slumber. Life is too short to keep procrastinating the use of your talents.

We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work. (John 9:4)

Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

It is high time you dug those talents from wherever you have kept them. It is time to get to work. It is time to make profit with the resources you have been given.

Instead of wasting your time coveting the talents given to another, you better begin trading with your own talents.

Instead of complaining, channel your energy into sowing the seeds you have been given. You might have been called to support the number one man or leading lady. You may have been called into an ‚ÄúAaronic ministry‚ÄĚ. Don’t let anyone devalue you because you are not leading the pack. A well-served man or woman is renewed and strengthened by your service. You are as important as the number one fellow. You are important in God’s eyes (and to Him) irrespective of the assignment you are given- leading or following.

Like the master of the servants in the parable of the talents did not inform them about when he would return to take account of what the servants had been given, our Master will appear like a thief in the night. He is coming back very soon.

‚ÄúOccupy till I come‚ÄĚ is the instruction of our Lord to us. He will require you to give account of all He gave you.

How far have you gone?

How much have you gained?

Is your Master going to be proud of you or be disappointed in you when he returns?

The Way Of Worship

Do you know just how important it is to make a lifestyle of worshipping God?

Irrespective of the situation you find yourself in, let it be known to you that that should not determine whether you worship God or not.

God is unchangeable. Situations of not change Him from who He is. He is God all by Himself.

Do you now see why worship should be a norm with you?

Come as you are… Enter His gates with thanksgiving in your heart and His courts with praise!

It’s high time you condition your heart to learn to praise God for who He is and not just what He has done for you.

You can join me right now to lift up worship to the Lord as I lead this session of worship in this video :

MAXIMISING TIME

Two men I met during my late teenage years left an indelible mark on my life. Both men were Pastors in the Nigerian Baptist Convention ( Revd Tayo Orodiji and Revd Goke Adeleke). These two men were sold out to God. They were really passionate about ministering to youths and they were all over the place recovering souls to the Kingdom of God.

The ZEAL of these men was contagious. They lived their lives like their time was almost up… As if they knew they didn’t have much time on their hands. Hmmmm

Both men died on the same day in a ghastly motor accident over twelve years ago.

Revd Orodiji in particular wrote several books that are still very relevant in the youth ministry today; permit me to say even more relevant now than then. He wrote a lot about relationships and issues pertaining to sexual purity.

Their works live on long after they have gone away from here.

I have been challenged too much in life to live my life without caution. This is one major reason I just keep doing things that I am called to do with all zeal. Yes, I keep dishing them out as they come because I know time COULD be short after all and I am not ready to take chances.

I made a resolution a long time ago, that keeps me pursuing purpose with every sense of determination… I must die empty.

Are you still nonchalant about your life and the fulfilment of your purpose?

Has God inspired you to do something and you have been procrastinating?

I am calling out to you today.

If you miss out on the opportunity to live life to the fullest today, you will never get another ‘today’ when you decide to wake up from your slumber (and that’s if it’s not too late by then).

This is not to scare you with the issue of death… Not at all.

This is simply a reminder that you do not know if you will be here on this side of eternity ‘tomorrow’.

Today is the surest opportunity you can lay claim of.

Maximise TODAY …

Take action towards fulfillment of purpose.

… So that you can hear your Creator say to you, “Well done, good and faithful servant; enter into your Master’s rest”

Please, How Do You Do It?

There is something I need your help explaining to me… This is an issue that I have always wondered about. I have had several reasons to wonder how two things that seem to be incompatible can be exhibited in the very same space.

A Nollywood movie I watched a few days ago actually brought this issue back to mind and I knew it was time I spoke about my worries thus the conception of this post.

In that movie, there was this guy who deprived his wife of sex for about 3 months or more after the wedding. I mean from day one… No honeymoon things.

His commonest excuse was that they needed to pray. It was either that he just had a nightmare when the wife makes advances at him or that he was observing lent in August. Even on their wedding night, it was prayer that they prayed till they both slept off and I was like, “Are you kidding me?”

The wife kept suffering in silence. She was deeply frustrated.

To cut the long story short, he kept using the issue of prayer to camouflage his obvious purpose of punishing his wife.

Now, this was the real issue which he refused to reveal until after the lady attempted suicide:

The wife had stolen money from the husband’s late brother (whom she worked with as a secretary) which she gave this same man to travel out of the country with. It was during the period when they were out of the country that the elder brother died from a stroke linked to the money which was stolen from him; when he couldn’t resuscitate his business or make ends meet.

He had later sponsored the lady to join him overseas and returned to the country together for their wedding. Upon their return, the man took his fiancee to meet his sister-in-law and that was when he got to know about what had transpired between his wife-to-be and elder brother.

So, instead of confronting the lady or calling off the wedding he went ahead to marry her with the intention of punishing her.

Did I mention that while the wife from suffering from deprivation, this man had a side-chic that was performing his wife’s conjugal duties?

What am I driving at with my narration?

I have seen people who profess to be believers and sometimes can pray like fire would descend right there in their prayer rooms act terribly towards people around them.

I have seen pastors who are skilled in dividing the Word of truth beat their wives blue-black upon every slight provocation.

I have seen tongue-talking, fire spitting believers rob their bosses or involved in fraudulent activities at their places of work.

And all I can ask within myself is, “How do they do it?”

How do you harbour sin yet are able to pray?

How do you keep malice and are still able to raise ‘holy hands’ to the Lord?

How are you able to steal money and yet bring the tithe to church?

How do you abuse your spouse physically or emotionally and still be able to stand before the congregation of the righteous with your hypocritical smiles?

How do you call yourself a child of God and still act like that of the devil?

How can light and darkness live in the same vessel at the same time?

…Because the Holy Spirit I know will always call you out when you are out of line.

Something must definitely be wrong somewhere then, I conclude…

Either you are not born again in the first instance or you have decided to continually ignore the voice of the Holy Spirit to you.

This is a call to you reading this to examine your ways.

Check where you have fallen from and make amends. Allow yourself to be thoroughly broken down, have a circumcised heart which is sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and decide to begin to obey Him always.

May your eyes be opened to those areas of your life that are not conforming to the standards of the Word of God.

And may grace be multiplied unto you as you decide to repent of your ungodly ways!

Long Lasting Fragrance

As a Nigerian girl living in a country with serious power supply problems, I had practically no choice than to get myself a stove iron. I couldn’t afford to plug in the electric iron on the supply from the generator.

In case you are an assorted fella and know nothing about the stove iron, it is simply an iron that you can place directly on the burning stove and then use to iron your clothes. You can actually convert an electric iron which is no longer functioning to a stove iron. All you need do is cut off the power cord an voila, you are good to go!

Whenever you need to iron your clothes and the power has been seized, stove iron to the rescue!

One thing though, you have to be careful with the temperature you allow the iron attain before placing it on your precious dresses. You know this type of iron has no control so, first swipe the surface through a piece of cloth you can afford to do away with. With time, you will get used to

You can thank me later for the tip ūüėĀ

To my main gist. . .

I turned a bottle which formerly contained air freshener into a spray bottle for my ironing works. I would therefore constantly put clean water into the bottle and spray on the clothes I was ironing at that time. Ain’t I genius?

Amazingly, after several months of using that particular bottle; putting fresh supply of water at intervals the bottle still had the fragrance from the air freshener. It was such that whenever I sprayed water from the bottle I could perceive the fragrance from the former contents.

I mean, I still saw that bottle today and it still smells really nice.

As I placed the bottle back down, I heard in my spirit “LONG LASTING FRAGRANCE”

Do you know that God made you for impact?

When He allows you live in a community, share a room with someone or work in a particular office you are planted there to make impact.

Sadly, many of us pass through places without leaving any mark behind.

You need to know that God is always intentional about His actions and if He places you somewhere it must be for a reason.

If you take a look at your life you might be able to point out one or more persons that have left an indelible mark on your life by their good deeds. And you still remember them long after possible separation.

Can you do a check on how you have lived your life up until now and ask yourself if you had maximised every opportunity for impact that God had given you in the past?

Not to worry, today and tomorrow are brand new opportunities you have for impact.

When you leave where you are today, will you even be missed?

And what will you be missed for?

Good or bad deeds?

Is your life giving off sweet smelling fragrance or irritating odour?

This is a call to invest in the lives of people around you. It is the greatest form of investment you could make; I can assure you.

Care for people. Love them. Seek their good. Show concern for their conditions. Bless them. Pray for them. Be an encourager. Don’t shut your eyes on their needs.

Be good.

Leave a mark.

Live purposefully!

Cultivate Your Garden

The newest addition to my library

About 20years ago, our youth fellowship president who doubled as my school father asked me a question which was brought to my remembrance recently. He asked me who my role model was in ministry and without thinking twice on that particular day I said, “JOYCE MEYER”.

I love Joyce Meyer. She is an awesome woman. A teacher and she also serves in the help ministry. She has a message for women. Same with T.D. Jakes. These are the major areas I see God nudging me towards so I concentrate my efforts on being equipped to take it on.

I don’t live where they live so I do something to get impacted by them.

…. I stock my library with their books.

I read them.

I pay to gain knowledge from them.

I would rather buy books than fill my closet with clothes and shoes.

One thing that endears me to my mentees who are closest to me is that they love books. That attitude is a magnet between me and them.

You see, purposeful people never stop tilling their ground and tending their garden. They identify what’s important and focus on that. They water the ground and fertilize it with resources that will enrich it and in turn lead to a bumper harvest.

God has placed you in a garden like He did Adam so that you can till it. That garden is your place of purpose.

The law of sowing and reaping is so real. If you invest in your calling, you are bound to excel therein according to your Maker’s standards and if otherwise the obvious.

I keep going on and on about being intentional because it’s the path I have chosen for myself and I desire above many things that you will take this route too. (I did a video on the subject matter and you can watch it¬†HERE

Life is too short to go about it unintentionally.

Take charge of your life.

Invest in things that matter.

Feed your passion.

I can tell you firsthand that only when you live your life purposefully can you have a sense of fulfillment deep within.

“Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food.” (Isaiah 55:2)

Purpose is calling on you to give it attention instead of things that will not satisfy you which you are busy investing in.

… Felt strongly to charge you thus today.

I hope you get the message and take action in the right direction from today henceforth . . .

Be blessed!

FORGIVENESS : A special Gift to Yourself

The first time I heard about the word repression was in my dream. I had been suffering from incessant headaches before that time and despite by constant intake of pain killers, the headache wouldn’t just go away.

On a particular day, I woke up from a dream where I saw myself in front of a doctor and his diagnosis was that I was suffering from repression. I kept saying the word “Repression?” over and over until I woke up.

I immediately started ruminating on my dream and all I could tell myself was, “I know about depression so what is repression?”

I had to carry out some research on the word and was then able to discover the root cause of my health issues.

In this video post, I share some of my personal experiences while dealing with not being able to forgive and how it affected me spiritually and physically.

You will also find out why it is very important to always choose to forgive and how you can easily forgive those who have hurt you.
