I Will Lift Up My Eyes To The Lord

It’s easy to fall into the error of relying on human beings in this age and time when it seems like the tendency of you getting what you want is higher if you know people in ‘high places’.

The truth is that many have shifted their focus from God Almighty with whom nothing is impossible unto His handiwork.

To this end, many of us have become idolaters without even perceiving it.

Think about it yourself…

Once a problem arises, your phone is the next point of call. You surf through your contact list to see who should help you. You begin making several calls and your faith is in a man like you. Some even brag that they can’t have challenges in certain aspects. Even though with their lips they are saying, “God is in control”, what is actually running through their mind is “My uncle the Senator is in control”.

Many forget to ask God for His view. I have heard people say severally that “God will not come down from heaven, He will definitely use human beings”. Who says? Have you forgotten that He chose to feed Elijah by sending ravens to give him food? You need to stop pre-empting God. He chooses how and by whom He would wrought His wonders. Why not wait for Him to choose who He wishes to use to solve your problem? He definitely knows best. He never disappoints. If only you will trust Him.

Cease to trust in [weak, frail, and dying] man, whose breath is in his nostrils [for so short a time]; in what sense can he be counted as having intrinsic worth? (Isaiah 2:22 AMP)
From whom do you seek help?

In whom do you trust?

In God I trust!
