Choose What’s Really Important

I know you are busy and you could almost borrow from tomorrow’s hours to use up today if it were possible. Spending quality time in God’s presence has become almost impossible for you.

Mary (Martha’s sister) (Luke 10:38-42)  chose the one thing that was needed. She was preoccupied with one thing at all times- God! Yes, she, too, served. She too, fulfilled God-given responsibilities. But there was one thing that mattered most: she chose to spend time worshipping God. She had learned that nothing can take the place of time in God’s presence.

Indeed, time spent sitting at His feet fuels and focuses all acts of service. And, as her Master noted, time spent hearing and worshipping God can never be taken away, for it is time spent in eternal pursuits, time that earns permanent and everlasting dividends. Mary chose to spend that precious time with Him.

What’s your choice?
