Be Original

Stop trying to pattern yourself after the pastor, pastor’s wife, the news anchor, your friend and your next door neighbour.

Develop the unique, exquisite man/woman within.

There is no one God has not blessed with at least a virtue. He created you and said you are GOOD.

Remember the parable of the talents?

The master gave talents to all the servants- according to their ability. He knows what’s best for you.

And yet, O LORD, you are our Father.
We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand- Isaiah 64v8 (NLT).

Who are you or I to say God has not blessed us with the right gift/ability/talent? Who are you to protest that He should have given you the gift He decided to give Sister A or Brother B? It is His factory and He decides what to produce in it.

He decides the model he wants to make you into and the devices He wants to incorporate into the design. It’s His call!

Your duty is to cherish what He’s given you.

Look within, sit down and write out the gifts you can identify. Capitalize on these.

In the place of your faithfulness with what seems to be LITTLE, God could decide to add more to you thereby inputing more colour to your life.

However, it is expedient that you first put to use what He has given you originally.

Go trade with the talent in your hand.

When you are focused on doing that, you will no longer be engulfed with the thought of becoming like the next person.

Focus on your peculiarity and the God who made you you. He is the only one that can tell you how, when, where,… to utilize the GOOD He has placed inside you- God not another mass of clay!
