Looking back at few years past, I remember the days when I thought – if only we had this means, this would have been possible and all. Times when I constantly prayed for a better state of living, so as to get some things done and sorted out as I hoped for. But though some prayers were answered and some weren’t, today I can look back and say – Thank you God for not allowing me gain such requests (which weren’t granted by Him). Because if we did live in a world were all we ever get is – Yes, you can have this and that, we won’t and would never get to value the “Yes”, because we have no experience of what it means or feels like to have a No or a request turned down.
And despite all the Nay gotten, I am more grateful I had such moments, as part of my life’s valued experiences. Because, though i thought I couldn’t live without those things, amazingly I did and not just that, I’m better at living. As He did give me something much better in His own time and plans for my life.
So dear, if you feel you are less privileged or have been less privileged at some stage or phase of your life, just because you didn’t seem to have the means to. The gladdening truth is, you are the most privileged. And you know why?, it’s because you are a Child of God; it’s because you’ve met with Christ and God is now your father. As I do know that, I really don’t need to know Mr Yisa before he favors me, or Mrs Blessing or even Nosa or Taiwo before they yield to God’s plans for my life as destiny helpers because it’s their mandate to be one unto me.
So my darling, I was brooding on a discussion I earlier had with some friends earlier in the month. And I can’t help but say -“God, it’s all you!. As a question was thrown to me about someone whom most people seem to see as being unapproachable, but had been so friendly and like a big aunt to me. Someone just had to say – “I’m still wondering how you both haven’t had a clash”, of which I smiled and said – “It’s God”.
So you see, you need not know anyone from Adam, for them to favour you. This is not to rule out the place of social network build up as we all need Godly and value adding relationships in our lives but when we only see our progress in the value chain built up over time, then something is wrong.
To my dear friend reading this, you need not be the child of Chief brooks, Pilot Dickson or Engineer Afolabi or G.O Oyedele or Dangote (or any influential and wealthy family you can think of) to be “privileged”. You are the most Privileged because you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Saviour and now part of the big, loving family of God. Heirs to the throne of His Majesty and the King.

Do brood on these words, it came as a message of Thanksgiving for me after a long; busy work day. But totally worth penning down for another heart to grace from.
