🀳✍️ Learn from the Grizzly πŸ‘΄πŸ‘΅

After an exciting time of chit chatting with colleagues and friends at the end of a workday. I was headed home and whilst in the cab, I starred out of the window (I love to do this as it stirs my thoughts). A lot of things crossed my mind in the process and for a while I took my eyes off and casted my gaze forward instead. But then after a while of staring off the happenings on the road whilst still on transit, I looked out once again and I was drawn to two (2) women who stood by the side of the road. Even though they stood a bit apart, but looking at the calm expressions on their faces, I couldn’t help but wander off into my thoughts again.

Then the big question came calling – Why is it that we have a lesser population of broken homes for the older folks than that of the nowadays younger folks?.

– Why do we have a higher rate of divorce amongst the younger generation?

– What happened to the two generations and what makes the difference between them.

Then the simple answer came calling – Sacrifice, Patience and Satisfaction.

As simple as those words are and did sound when it popped up in my mind. It’s a tough one for us folks in this generation.

Let’s look at it this way, for the older folks going into a relationship was a serious business I must say, that even though some might not have known each other (as we did have a lot of arranged marriages back then) they had a mentality to serve (which is commitment and sacrifice) and not just to be served. I believe in a unit or partnership of two (2 ), where there is an utmost need for each and every individual to give. And by so doing, they will both definitely receive in likewise measure or even more.

Another core one for me out of the 3 keys in this homes, is Patience. As both parties take their time to learn the ways of the other partner. As some or even most of them, didn’t get to know each other well before the union was consummated. And hence, they work at building the unit (family) together. They are happy to learn who the other partner is – his/her ways, likes, dislikes etc. They uphold this unit with a sense of duty. They know they are both not perfect. And ain’t ready to let go of what they have vowed to uphold before God and man regardless of the troubles that come raging in. As they do have this hope that it will be better. And this understanding drives them both, to build each other and respect their personalities. That though it be different at the onset of the union but over time, they both blend in towards each other.

Lastly, the generation we have now, do have loads of expectations from the other party than that which they can meet themselves. Funny right!😚, you want to receive more than you give. Or receive even far more, when you ain’t even giving or contributing anything!.

Let’s much on this briefly: πŸ‘‡

Give to others, and you will receive. You will be given much. It will be poured into your handsβ€”more than you can hold. You will be given so much that it will spill into your lap. The way you give to others is the way God will give to you.”
Luke 6:38 ERV

Smiles, I hope you digested the latter part of that verse. Even God gives thee, of the measure you have givenπŸ€”. I didn’t state that o.. Lol.

And this type of giving isn’t monetary alone but all form of giving. Keep on giving your all and be devoted to the home God has established and is building for you both.

As we can recall that, even the house which was told to have been established on the rock weathered all its challenges and it was a phase of building (to test it’s strength of longevity). So my dear, get to work, get engaged with God and give your all as God will teach you to. He never resigns from teaching and tutoring us.

This institution – Marriage must work for you and I by His Grace. It shall be a blessing and not a curse. I challenge you all (those reading this at the moment) to tighten your buckles, lace up and lets get to work!.

And even for the single you πŸ‘‰ reading this 😘, also get to work – the proverbs 31 woman and husband man in God isn’t made in a day.

I do hope to see a better population of the younger families (established and about to), be so exciting and something to look forward to. Just because they beam forth a replica of God’s Love for the Church for others to physically see and experience.

Much love folks.

Read on this:
Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. This mystery is profound, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church.
Ephesians 5:22‭, ‬25‭-‬25‭, ‬28‭, ‬32 ESV

God’s words for us is – Active and Alive. You either choose to wade it off or receive and act on it!.

Do have a prospering week folks. πŸ€—πŸ’ž
