Sometime last month I was at a program organized at my service year base. And one of the many blessings received and learned was: “capacity – building capacity”. And since then whenever these words crosses my mind, it strikes a chord within me. It just speaks volumes within me. 👌
Okay regarding capacity. Let’s quickly check the meaning.👇
Capacity: the amount that can be contained; the susceptibility of something to a particular treatment; capability to perform or produce; the power to learn or retain knowledge.
These meanings are wisdom communicated on its own. But then we are looking at it from the view of “how much you as a person can retain”.
I so much love the below-stated verse and it was the verse that came to mind when I was pondering on some things earlier on, which spurred me to write on this topic.
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (ESV)
In the message translation, it states “…be pushed past your limit”. Our God is gracious hence he knows us not only by name, but by what we can retain.

Okay, back to my earlier thoughts; I was thinking about “why some folks are allowed to pass through so much while others are like on an enjoyment/smooth sail”. And this was what brought to mind the earlier stated Bible verse. As God knows each one of us and our individual capacity.
So dear, your capacity is a determinant factor when it comes to His dealings with us as individuals. How large or small is your capacity?.
Be encouraged, if it seems you are always having to face one trouble or the other because God knows your capacity and not only that; He trusts that you will be able to pull through it.

See there are so many things that had happened in the course of my life and when I reflect on them now, I wonder if I was actually the one that underwent such drill. But the comfort and blessing is that, I can look back at them and be grateful for the stretch. Yes dear, it’s like a person climbing a mountain. Each step towards the peak or top seems like a difficult task but the glory eventually is in one’s continuous motioning, as when he or she gets to the peak point; can look down with a smile – “Yay! I achieved it”. 💃

So be glad and see the grace that lies within your loins. The men of old knew how to gird their loins when it comes to taking a risk. Elijah is a typical example that comes to mind here. When God’s hand came upon him, he girded his loins first before he began to race off. He knew better than him refusing/hesitating to run that race. He knew it wasn’t about his physical stamina or strength. But was about the grace level that he bore within him that mattered. He knew that it was God at work in him, so he yielded. 1 Kings 18:46 (AMP)

I do state that sometimes that “a man who has to face so much difficulties in life has so much graceful blessings lined up for him or her”. That even the enemy is scared of those blessings because he knows that it would cost him!. So he keeps trying so hard to either discourage him/her or to make him/her feel incompetent and at a disadvantage. But then we are assured of victory (Hallelujah). Just as we have read in the referenced Bible verse.
Build your capacity. And begin to see yourself sail through those boisterous storms. A skilled sailor is different from an ordinary sailor or fresher I must confess. As the former has seen storms (all kinds 🤔) and still weathered them while the other is just seeing waves and is already resorting to turning back or is still struggling with how to move past the storms.

Don’t be the latter dear. Build your capacity. Trust God that whatever He permits to come your way, would not only build you up but will also stretch you, so as to make room for the more in you.
I believe in your growth. We keep moving on folks!. 🙌👣
Wishing you a blessed life folks. Graced we are!💃
