💮👯 YOUR COMFORT CAN COST YOU 😰💠

So it happened that my bedroom bed was changed to a bigger one. And because I had in previous months been using a smaller; more compact and softer version of it, It took me a while to adjust to this change.

Even looking at the way I still have lots of space on it despite my study books and cover cloth. It really does feel like I am on a large vast of sleep land. 😁🙈
Anyway, the crux of this storytelling is, my right hand had a great deal of ache for some days consistently which had not happened to me for a while now. But then, I can’t tell if it was because I now had a larger sleep space that my sleep position while asleep might have changed or because it’s not as soft as the former one that I was used to. Either ways, I suffered a cramped arm and really on one of the days, I felt my hand was totally on a vacation. 😧

Okay, that being said, also looking at some of the escapades of some rich folks and for the fans of E-news channels, you will get to see all sort. Which most certainly if they had a smaller budget to work with, they won’t bother engaging in such procedures in the first place. There is just always one surgery or the other and the treatments never ends. And you will watch some of these medical shows: it is not like they had any defect but they just want to enlarge this and that. And hence watch their bodies being put through such unnecessary pain I must say. 🙅

Now bringing it home to us as Christians: your little comfort additions such as your phones, tablets, etc. can also cost you.

When you were the type that could commune with God at every spare time you have, but now struggle to even spare Him some minutes out of your 24 hours. That is some danger zone looming guys!. Whatever comfort you are exposed to, that take you spiritually backward will definitely cost you. Because the devil that fled when your fire was hot and glowing will return when it sees it as a cold or just a warm zone.

Do read this:

“Now when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, it roams through waterless (dry, arid) places in search of rest, but it does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it arrives, it finds the place unoccupied, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and make their home there. And the last condition of that man becomes worse than the first. So will it also be with this wicked generation.”

I believe it’s a forewarning to us guys. Don’t let your comfort drag you down or water down your spiritual life. Nothing is worth losing one’s graceful journey and good records before God, in this faith-walk.

Is that comfort gonna cost you?. Then ask yourself if it is worth it in the first place. If you can do without it fine if it’s a necessity then walk through it diligently and intentionally ensuring that your mantra is “Nothing will make me look back”. (Luke 9:62; AMP)

Waking up in the morning and seeing that phone beep and you still choose to look away and commune with God first takes a lot of intentionality. For someone as myself, I was at some point so hooked, to my phone and chats, but now I can so decide to have an online vacation effortlessly to get some other things done. (Some folks can testify 😂🙈). But it took me a while with a lot of looking away and intentionality as He helped me too. Some serious drill on this, I must confess. That’s another gist for someday. 🙂🙌

Choosing to get off your comfy bed and still pray and get some kingdom work done takes a committed heart. 🚶

And Choosing to still carry on with the fast despite the aroma of the sumptuous meal that is being served to your sibling(s) or being relished by your colleague(s) takes a lot of forbearance. Oh yeah, lots of it. 😀

Nothing is worth losing God or trading Him for!. 💕
