🎅 CHRISTMAS 🎅

While I was watching a movie on Hallmark channel; Which by the way, happens to be my favorite YouTube movie channel. I couldn’t help but recall a chat I had earlier with a friend, about how Christmas is greatly celebrated but people have forgotten or left out the heart of it (the reason why we have this season being celebrated in the first place) – which is Jesus!.

The recall came as a result of a comment in the movie about it being “.. a sign from the universe”.

The reality is we all celebrate Christmas (Christians and even none). It’s just that time of the year that is full of festivity, funfair, activities, etc. But the reality of all these is that we have left out the core of the season – Jesus Christ (the Son of God).

We have forgotten His sacrifice. How He left Glory for disdain and spite. How He chose the cross because of us rather than the throne of Glory, in order for us to be free indeed. How He bore the pain, the bruise, the beating, the ripping off of His flesh all in a bid to “pay the price”.

We have left out the most important aspect of Life – Salvation. Truth be told, life without Christ is the worst kind of life one can ever choose to live or even in ignorance live in. I have been there and I know the difference.

Yes, I was born in a Christian family, but hey, I didn’t quite understand the price He paid until years after my birth. But I am grateful, He found me and I chose Him too. It’s a decision that we have to make – to receive Him likewise.

Just as the book of revelation states:

~‘Behold, I stand at the door [of the church] and continually knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him (restore him), and he with Me.
REVELATION 3:20 (AMP)

Do note that He won’t force His way in. He is a good, loving, endearing father, friend, and companion. Everything!. He is everything to us and as much as He desires to come in, sup with us, dwells in us, have His way in our lives, and fit the puzzles of our lives, He will never force His way in.

It’s a choice we have to make. So while we are in the heart of the season, let the sacrifice He (Jesus) made be the basis of our celebration. Let’s appreciate His gift of Life. Truly, we are not living if we live our lives, excluding Him. We truly live, only in Christ Jesus. Because He is the way, truth, and life!.

So yes, Christmas is about Christ in it all and in our lives. A commemoration and adoration for all He chose to do for our sake; heaven’s cost on our lives. The price paid once and for all over us. No other price to be paid (Hebrews 13: 12&15). Isn’t that a blessing.

I am excited. Yes, I love Christmas. So much!!!!!
I even have a set of stars that come out only during this time of the year. I always look forward to staring at them each evening I step out these days. It’s just relaxing seeing their twinkling, kind of reminds me of the star that led the wise men to Baby Jesus’ manger. My little secret!. 😁🙈

P.S: Christmas is CHRISTMAS not XMAS. 👊✋👍🙂
