⭐🌼 NOT SETTLING 🙅🌼

Every good thing is given and every perfect gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of lights [the Creator and Sustainer of the heavens], in whom there is no variation [no rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [for He is perfect and never changes].
James 1:17 (AMP)

During the Sunday sermon in Church, the words “don’t settle” were said by the pastor and this prompted this theme.

Looking back at the years past and the number of times I have been faced with choosing between His will to wait and the voices of “Are you being choosy” or “Mercy, consider this well, etc.”. The truth is all these and more, were stated by folks because of their concerns for me. But looking past that, I had to heed to the He in me. And to tell you the truth, I don’t regret choosing His in all these.

I really don’t know what has been the usual statement around you or said concerning that decision or choice you need to make. Please don’t settle for anything other than His will. And just as we read in the referenced verse, Perfect gifts come from Him. And His will is always good and perfect. It has no variation or blemish. It has no look-alike.

I love this verse:

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
Romans 8:28 (AMP)

Many things may look like His will but dear, look keenly and stick with God. He still leads and we are not settling for anything other than His will. His will may seem difficult, strange, unusual but I can tell you for a fact that you won’t regret choosing His words rather than the voices that are alarming you and causing you to fret.

Above and beyond, grow your relationship with Him. And in this, His voice becomes clearer and He becomes more real and His will becomes more than ever before, your priority.
